The SALT surfing school at Bostalsee is located on the grounds of the Gonnesweiler beach near the Center Parcs.
Due to the location of the lake on a plateau, even experienced windsurfers will find challenging wind situations.
In 2010, SALT took over the surf school from Ute and André Lefebvre>> after about 20 years. The name Lefebvre is a familiar name for every windsurfer, not only because he was responsible for Robby Nash's pink rig, but because as a surfer and designer, thanks to the development and implementation of many revolutionary innovations, he is a luminary in the windsurfing sector. He still runs his sailmaker Lefebvre Sails >> in the immediate vicinity of the Bostalsee.

Windsurfing has a great tradition in Saarland anyway. The "Windglider" >> a special windsurf board, was developed by Fred Ostermann >> in the 1970s. At the 1984 Summer Olympics, when windsurfing was a discipline for the first time, the Windglider was the only approved board.

With Gun Sails >> Saarland got even more to offer for the windsurfing sector. The Saarbrücken-based company has been developing and selling high-performance sails and other windsurfing accessories for over 30 years.

The SALT surfing school at Bostalsee offers beginner courses, private lessons, but also all kinds of individual events. In addition, equipment (board, rig, neoprene) can easily be borrowed from the rental station.
